CONTEST: The White Stripes Film Screening

Our neighbours at the Royal Cinema will be showing the new White Stripes tour-documentary "Under Great White Northern Lights" from February 26th until March 4th, and we've got 4 pairs of tickets to give away. Simply make your way over to our contests page and answer our challenging question.

Four winners will be randomly selected, and each winner will receive 2 passes for the film. Contest closes Monday, March 2nd at 10:00 AM.

NEW VENUE: Julian Casablancas

The Julian Casablancas show has been moved from the Phoenix to the Kool Haus. Since Kool Haus has a venue charge of $1.50, the ticket price has increased from $25 to $26.50. Tickets purchased for the Phoenix will be honoured at the Kool Haus. Refunds are available for those holding Phoenix tickets who prefer not to see the show at the Kool Haus.

TICKET UPDATE: Mos Def cancelled (DOOM still performing)

Breaking news from REMG's website:

"NOTE: Due to circumstances beyond our control the DOOM ft. Mos Def show scheduled for Thursday February 25, 2010 at the Kool Haus will no longer feature Mos Def. All other details regarding this show are unchanged.

REMG Entertainment takes the integrity of our concerts and the trust placed in our company by our loyal patron base very seriously. As such we feel it necessary to address the ongoing rumours and concerns about the true identity of the performer on stage during recent past DOOM performances. We are taking every precaution necessary to ensure that the performer on stage is in fact DOOM (Daniel Dumile). The artist has agreed to produce proper identification to us prior to performing to confirm his identity.  We will not allow a substitute to perform in his place.
