We dedicate as much space as possible to our independent music section, but it’s impossible to keep everything in stock indefinitely. If a title hasn’t sold in one year, we take it off the shelf to make space for new music. We’ll hold on to the disc for two more years in case the consigner wants to pick it up, but after that we will dispose of it. We make exceptions for a number of reasons, but the most persuasive is continued communication with the artist. If you come by the shop or call from time to time to check in on your disc, it lets us know you’re still active and interested in selling your music.
